At January meeting, Bill Dixon informed members that he had
been contacted by a staff member of the Delaney Creek Lodge, an
assisted living facility in the Brandon area. It seemed that there was
a cafeteria at the facility with numerous dining tables. The tables
were wide, and the senior residents had some difficulty reaching across
them for condiments. The staff member (Maggie) asked if BWW club
members would be willing to make some Lazy Susans for the tables, if
they paid for the hardware. In response, Bill Dixon announced a contest
for the March meeting. 11 members volunteered to make the lazy susans,
and they would be judged at the March meeting. Below are pictures of
the various Lazy Susans that were made, and a couple of pictures of
them being delivered to the Lodge. We hope the residents enjoy their
new Lazy Susans and that they get lots of use!
