April Meeting

Harold made this treasure chest for a
grandson. He used pine and did a lot of wood
burning for decoration inside and out. The
straps are carved into the wood.



Lynn Laursen brought in a tractor and
trailer he makes from plywood and cedar

Art Peasall shows us a sled he made to hold
small parts safely. He uses it on the router
table and his table saw.

Ruth shows us a fish & horse’s head she
made from walnut, oak & mahogany.


Terry shows us some Acrylic acetate pens he
turned.


Lloyd is holding one of the scroll saw
projects he brought in, a key holder.


Marvin brought in an upright jewelry
case. He made this for his daughter out of
pine. He now has several request to make
more out of oak.


Tim is holding a Love plaque he scroll
saws these projects. The letters are cut
from a special plywood with a commercially
applied finish. Blue in this case.


Art shows us a 3 leg table he is making. It is not
finished yet. He also brought in a jig to
illustrateing how he made sliding dovetail
joints to attach the legs to the spindle.




George is holding one of several turnings
he brought in. this one is made from tiger
maple and he used a dye of several colors to
get the color added to the bowl.
